| Program Description . . . With the deteriorating public educational system, and the increased occurrences of violence in schools "and in society as a whole" the need for proactive intervention is a must. Our youth are being short changed in the quality of education they are receiving. Our parents are misinformed about the impact their participation in the school system could have on future generations of educators, students, and schools systems. To achieve our goal of academic equity for all, AAP/CCEE has developed a program that focuses on the following areas:
We are confident that through these areas AAP/CCEE will remain effective in fostering equal access for minority students in the public school system; assisting parents in making systemic change in policies and practices; and providing youth, parents and the community with knowledge, skills and opportunities that will positively impact decision-making processes in the governance of their schools.
